A native of Wichita, Kansas, Amanda Roark received her B.A. in government from the University of Texas at Austin and her law degree from Texas A&M School of Law. Her dad is a native Texan, so his Texas roots and other family in Texas had a big influence on her move to the state. Amanda joined the Barrows Firm in 2018 as an associate attorney.

“I love working at the Barrows Firm because we are very personal with our clients.” Amanda said. “Our firm's main priority is about the individual and not getting people in and out the door.” Amanda works within all aspects of family law at Barrows Firm, including divorce, child custody, child custody modification, and CPS litigation. However, she has a soft spot for child welfare law.

“I feel it’s the most rewarding. I get to help kids in dire situations.”

As an associate attorney at the Barrows Firm, Amanda appreciates the close personal relationships she builds with clients. “I really enjoy letting people tell me their story. I’m more interested in developing connections with our clients than the circumstances that bring us together.” At the Barrows Firm, Amanda is able to practice the aspect of law that she was most interested in during school, which is to help people with the most of important facet of their lives– family.

Prior to her time at the Barrows Firm, Amanda served in several internships at law firms throughout the Austin and DFW areas, as well as an administrative director with the Texas House of Representatives. Amanda is a member of the Tarrant County Bar Association and Tarrant County Young Lawyers Association. She is also an active member in the Junior Woman’s Club of Fort Worth.
